The State of Michigan Government recently changed the FOIA requirements. Among those changes are requirements for each township to have adopted written Procedures and Guidelines to implement the FOIA, along with a written Public Summary explaining how the township’s FOIA process works.
It is the policy of Sullivan Township that all persons, except those incarcerated, consistent with the Michigan Freedom of Information Act (FOIA), are entitled to full and complete information regarding the affairs of government and the official acts of those who represent them as public officials and employees.
